Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica Ending Character Song – Mata   Ashita

Also used as the ending theme for the BD and DVD release of episode 1 and 2.

See You Tomorrow
Vocals: Yuki Aoi as Kaname Madoka
Lyrics: hanawaya
Composition: hanawaya
Arrangement: Ruka & Taguchi Tomonori

Saying, “See you later,” I wave my hand
Forcing myself to smile, yet I’m feeling lonely…

People go up the pedestrian bridge carrying their bicycles
Someone gossips in the convenience store
At the intersection, there are traffic lights, cars honking far away
and the sound of strangers laughing together

Today, I walk alone, even if I’m used to going through this city
Somehow, for a moment
I feel like I’m tiny more than I usually do

Saying, “See you later,” I wave my hand
Cracking a smile, yet I’m feeling lonely
The truth is, I still have more to talk about
But with the words “See you later”
I lie about being able to meet you again
and say this with my usual smile
“See you tomorrow”

I’m pretending that I’m used to being alone
But I’m not really that strong

The scenery is the same as always, the city is the same as always
Even though I think everything will stay unchanged
I still feel like I’m the only one who’s tiny

Instead of “See you later”
I should’ve said, “I’ll stay for a little longer”
I wanted and hoped that you would realize it
But with the words “See you later”
I lie to myself again
and hide my feelings with my usual smile

Saying, “See you later,” I wave my hand
Cracking a smile, yet I’m feeling lonely
The truth is, I still have more to talk about
But even my voice saying, “See you later”
is so near yet far from you that it can’t reach you
So let me say this like I always do, just once more
“See you tomorrow”

  1. Thanks for the lyrics and translations! I love this song, it’s so cute.

[But with the words “See you later”
I lie about being able to meet you again] Does this mean she knows that they’ll never see each other again? As if she’s saying it to Homura in the first timeline?

    • Yes, it can be interpreted that way, that Madoka knows she can’t really meet Homura or her friends again but lies about it.

      • This isn’t true though, It can be thought of that way since for most of her friends life she wont see them, but the fact is Madoka MUST come for some of her friends because they are magical girls too, So Madoka will meat Homura and stop her from turning into wallpaper night one day.

  2. Madoka….
this song is like episode 13 for me…

    damn, it’s salty.

  3. If this is Madoka’s insert…

I think I may need to bring tissues for the next one.

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT MAMI’S INSERT IS GOING TO BE SOUL-CRUSHINGLY DEPRESSING. NEVAR.
