IMITATION BLACK
Vocals: Kamui Gackpo, KAITO, Kagamine Len
Lyrics: natsuP
Composition: natsuP
Arrangement: haku

The ordinary days are twisted; a forbidden love
A heart so fake-
The imperfect love is painted over in black
In a pitch-black world

Even though it’s just one word
That I’ve always wanted to say to you
If my impulse that I can’t hold back completely
Ends up breaking down-

I love and am loved, to the point of seeming to go mad
The sweet and hot kiss is an IMITATION
In a paralyzing sensation, my consciousness fades away
Paint over my overflowing thoughts and the truth
In black

The setting moon overlaps with clouds
Just as if it’s hiding its light
We can’t return anymore?
Let’s disappear together like this

Even though I let go of your hand
Believing that I’ll be united with you someday
If it’s a love where I can’t be myself
Then I should destroy it

Wanting you to hug me firm and tight
The warmth of our joined bodies is an IMITATION
Because the sun troubles me when it shines on me
You’ll be gone from my sight
Please teach me the answer?

I’ll smash common sense and morals
And it’s fine that I’m the only one who gets punished
Holding onto the words
That you said in your final moments

I’ll think of you everyday
Before the feeling from when I hugged your shoulders
Dissolves and disappears into nothingness
I’ll go see you

Held by a flickering and swaying illusion
The word I said to you was an IMITATION
On my cold skin, there’s a kiss mark that won’t disappear
I’ll submerge just about everything in my memories in black
And fall away

I love and am loved, to the point of seeming to go mad
The sweet and hot kiss is an IMITATION
In a paralyzing sensation, my consciousness fades away
Paint over my overflowing thoughts and the truth
In black

  1. excuse me if i’m wrong but isn’t kizuato a scar and not a kiss mark?

    • Yes, ‘scar’ would be a more accurate translation of kizuato, but the kanji given for the word is 口痕, which literally means ‘mouth mark’ or ‘hickey’.

  2. Lovely translation as usual~ <3;;
I was just wondering… (of course I open with a compliment, it draws people in! 8D)
Do you have the kanji lyrics to this, if there are any?
    <3;; Thank you very much.

  3. I love this song, and your translations are great, but do you know of any keyboard sheet music for this?

  4. I love singing Len’s parts~! This song is down right legendary! When I showed my friend, she loved it~!
