The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2nd Ending Theme – Tomare! (TV Size Version)

Stop! (TV Size Version)
Vocals: Hirano Aya, Goto Yuko, Chihara Minori as Suzumiya Haruhi, Asahina Mikuru, Nagato Yuki
Lyrics: Hata Aki
Arrangement: Ando Takahiro

It fell from the sky
Carrying all of the wishes
I wonder if it was a little heavy for a single star

Just as I thought, something’s weird
You vanished from my heart
Can you say, “”I really do remember”?

Stop!
The past belongs to me
Of course I don’t want anyone to replace it
(Because…)

Did you forget? That for us
When we were born, we were able to dream of
Our encounter in our first dream
Even having worried about “what to do”
Now it’s like, “the more I think about it the more I laugh”
I’ve forgotten about it already
Let’s search for you

  1. I wonder… this song sounds like it relates to the themes of Disappearance…

Is this meant to be seen as being sung from Kyon’s perspective?

    • Well to answer both;

Sadly no Suzumiya Dance this time around.

Also, I would think that it’ll be in Kyon’s perspective… Since all the books are written in Kyon’s perspective.

Of the leeked screen it looks like one of episodes (if not the first one) is going to start with the Chapter titled “Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody” from the third book “The Boredom of Suzumiya Haruhi (涼宮ハルヒの退屈)”… Hopefully the series is going to stick with it’s original volume order and be named either “The Boredom of Suzumiya Haruhi (涼宮ハルヒの退屈) book 3”, “The Sighs of Suzumiya Haruhi (涼宮ハルヒの溜息) book 2”, or “The Rampage of Suzumiya Haruhi (涼宮ハルヒの暴走)book 5” (since the third book has been mostly told in the first season) instead of Suzumiya Haruhi: second season. To me its easier to remember and just sounds better if they used the original book titles.

Mmmm… Can’t wait till book 10, The Surprise of Suzumiya Haruhi (涼宮ハルヒの驚愕), comes out. The series is addictive…

  2. Nevermind… The season has already started. Just found the anime and it does start on the chapter Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody. As like the first season its really well drawn, and it explains what happened three years ago… Remember? The first season they talked about what happend three years ago, a lot… if not here is a vid made by someone else to jog people’s memory…

  3. Thank you so much for the translation!

    • And for the record:

“Baasudei nanda” should be “wasureta ka?”, if I heard right. Or maybe that should be “wasuretaka”. I don’t know much about Japanese grammar, so maybe that’s some kinda verb form I don’t know about, or maybe it’s just “Did you forget” in Jpn.?

  4. Where can i watch season 2 episodes of TMOHS?

    • There’s only one episode as of now. Google “dattebayo subs”. They’re the ones who are subbing it, along with Live-Evil. Or you could type in “haruhi bamboo leaf rhapsody” on Youtube. It’s posted there, but the quality’s bad.

  5. Is there a Kareoke TV SIZED version to this song?

  6. Do you have a 100 X 25 Pxl banner I could use to link my site to yours? I would appreciate it. thanks(:

  7. I love watching Haruhi Suzumiya no matter what. The new ED Tomare is really good
