CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 Insert Song – Boku wa, Tori ni Naru.

I, Will Become a Bird.
Vocals: Hitomi
Lyrics: Kuroishi Hitomi
Composition: Kuroishi Hitomi
Arrangement: Kuroishi Hitomi

When I just can’t find my way
You are always there for me
When I am out of my way
You are always there for me

Like a bird in the sky
You set me free
You give me one heart
Like a star in my night
You’ll always be a part of me

When I just can’t find my way
You are always there
You are always there
You are always there for me

In my darkness dreams
I hear you call me
You give me the reason to live
In my dirty heart
I hear you call me
And you reach out to carry me away

No one can save my soul
Only you

Like a bird in the sky
You set me free
You give me one heart
Like a star in my night
You’ll always be a part of me

The dark moon hints
that ahead of its light
My dream, of an uncertain existence
will be reborn

I live and die fast
So I’m sorry

Like how birds can fly around in the sky
I can be free now

I can be free now

Like how birds can fly around in the sky
I can be free now

Like a bird in the sky
You set me free
You give me one heart
Like a star in my night
You’ll always be a part of me

  3. When I hear this song, especially when I read the lyrics, that I feel this way towards Code Geass. Now that it’s gone, what will make my day bright again?

  4. pessimisticFreak

Someone is saying that the correct translation of the title is “I became a bird” What is the correct tense? (I agree with you that it should be I ‘will’ become a bird but my japanese is not reliable -_-)

    Anyway thanks for the lyrics!

  5. i fell calm when i hear this song… it fell like become one with the film.

  6. Seriously, thank you so much for the lyrics and d/l — these songs are so striking and memorable from Code Geass and so hard to obtain actual CDs of. Thank you so much!!

  7. Yeah, thx for the song! I love it so much, it make me so melanchlic. Sry for the english, i am from germany xD

  8. I spent the longest time looking for this song. I liked it so much. I think of this as Rollo’s song, sorta. It’s sad but sweet…uwaaa. ❤
Reading through things, it seems that Hitomi-san tends to use nonsense lyrics for her songs, though she provides sensical ones also. And yet listening to the song, I can make out the lyrics very clearly in all but a couple places. Is this just me? If not, does anyone know how often she sings non-nonsense lyrics?

  9. Actually, listening through, I don’t know if I have perhaps a different version, but I hear the first stanza repeated twice, first by Hitomi-san alone, then by more than one voice.

Then, after the first stanza that goes:
Tori ga sora o tobimawareru you ni
Boku wa jiyuu ni ima nareru n da
there is a short instrumental bit and then the English words “You set me free”, followed by another line I can’t catch. Something like “Kuta wara…ta…nu” — I really don’t know if it’s English or Japanese, so I just gave that my best shot. But there’s definitely /something/ there.

Lastly, at the very end, the final two lines are repeated twice.

I have the same version as you. As of the words between the instrumentals, I think that they are:
      You set me free
      Kutae mo wa ta nu
I think the Japanese line translates to “It was unexpected to me” or something like that. But I may be totally wrong, I’m no japanese expert, after all. xp
These words could be found on no sites. I searched for them, but they are no where to be found.
