The World Ends With You OST – Tsuisutaa

This is the Japanese version of the song Twister from the game It’s a Wonderful World.

Twister
Vocals: Matsuda Mai
Lyrics: SAWA
Composition: Ishimoto Takeharu

Hey hey, did you hear? That it’ll turn into ash in the end
This. What? The best-by date has passed
“I pretended that I was suffering”, it’s always like that
In the end, abandoned by the world.
“ah, it’s all the same”

Concrete, cornering, freestyle, my lungs get squeezed
Mr. Twister, a monster that aches “more”
It’s wonderful
No enemies
Using anything I can get my hands on
Remarkable? Or? Tough?
Does that mean it’s (already) a mundane people thing?

Each one, elegant
Investment without experience
This, too, that, too, that’s right, specially made
Crystal shelter? That’s overboard
Lighting OK, craftsmanship OK,
Is this for show?

I won’t run away anymore, I won’t make blunders
Mustn’t still be like nothing can be done, if so, then rise up
Unprecedented
The bells echo, if you’re growing chaotic and timid
For the sake of creating it, then scatter
Before you rot
The power of commotions is a scream
That power is yet unknown

Shut your impudent mouth already
Why did you come back without experience?
Be haughty, sweep with clairvoyance
Metamorphose with beta speech
If you become like this, even if you slipped, let’s go
The brandished brocade’s dream is a scream
That power is yet unknown

  1. Moar please. ;__; Have track 7… ? Called Hybrid in Japanese version and Deja Vu in UK/US?

    I wonder if they are different songs. >.<;

  2. Hybrid and Deja Vu are different. ^_^

I love this song! Very nice translation, too.

  3. “Each one, elegant

    Crystal shelter? That’s overboard

When did the song become about interior design? o_O Well, at least each verse has a clear theme. The English one is just randomness. Not that it’s bad.

Ah, my favorite line. “Mou nigenai, hema wa shinai…” That’s the only part I ever remembered. Wait, holy crap! You know when you see something in Japanese, and you COULD understand what it means, but you never thought to mentally translate it? That’s what keeps happening to me lately! Then I feel stupid when I see a translation, and the original lyrics or line, and I say to myself “I know those words! I could’ve understood that on my own!” Well, I just realized. If mou means “any more” (basicallly) and nigeru means “escape” and ___nai means “to not ____”, then Mou nigenai means “I won’t try to escape any more.” Duuhh! I’m so dumb.
