Venus Versus Virus Ending Theme – Shijun no Zankoku

Yousei Teikoku is like ALI PROJECT jacked up on sugary high and without the pseudo-European riffs. I’m starting to like their songs.

The Purest Cruelty
Vocals: Yousei Teikoku
Lyrics: Tachibana Takaha
Composition: Tachibana Takaha
Arrangement: Tachibana Takaha

Even though I know that it’s a sweet trap, without resisting the curiosity of temptation
The curse binds me tight enough to be able to yearn for it

Enchanted by the fruit of love…

If the darkness of annihilation is to be my desire, then my hands will obey it
Even if I’m to desire the darkness of silence, will I present it?
And my purest thoughts degrade into a tender yet cruel puppet

Even though it’s a sin that melts into a pretense-like illusion, it’s beloved
Even if it’s filled to the point of mingling together, it’ll seem to disappear

Connected by bodies of love…

Setting fires of parting to all of my pasts is also obeying it
That which flows from my lost eyes faintly stains my soiled chest
And my purest thoughts tenderly and cruelly scorch my body

If the darkness of annihilation is to be my desire, then my hands will obey it
Even if I’m to desire the darkness of silence, will I present it?
And my purest thoughts degrade into a tender yet cruel puppet

  1. I like some of their songs and their My-HiME PS2 game OST was great, but overall I think many of their tracks are too wild for me.

I prefer ALI PROJECTs non-anime stuff.

  2. Shijun no omoi wa yasashikute zankoku na “kairai” ni ochite. It’s supposed to be “kugutsu” with the same kanji

  3. Thanks for pointing that out. ^_^

  4. Nice.love this song, especially the end. by the way, this is one neat blog, with lyrics I thought i’d never find. thanks.

  5. Waaah! Lyrics to Shijun no Zankoku! IMO, this is Yousei Teikoku’s prettiest song ^^

  6. I wasn’t really a Yousei Teikoku fan until recently with songs like this and Valkyrja. The lyrics are always so interesting and unique. Thanks for the lyrics!

  10. does anyone know what they say between the second Choures, and the last, and then after the last? It sounds to me like I might freeze you or something (maybe I’m just crazy)

  11. it sounds more like im not with you youre not with me….

  12. Um, isn’t it suppose to be “Shijima no yami wo nozomu to shitemo, watashi wa sore o sashidasu deshou to”

  13. um, do you know what “Sumire” translate as? or what “Soyogu” translates as?

  14. I’m not with you, you’re not with me. That’s my part, it sound like you may freeze me at first, then you start to listen to it more. Well, still don’t know still uncertain. or But I’m with you, you’re not with me.

    Thanks for these. XD

  15. No more like, ‘but I’m with you, you’re not with me’ at the very end that’s what it sounds like, though I’m pretty sure it’s ‘I’m not with you, you’re not with me.’
