- Nendoroid versions of Nanoha and Fate from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s were displayed at Hobby Complex 05 2008 in Kobe, by some new company called Laugh.
- I’ve never heard of Laugh, but its logo looks like spin-off from the Goodsmile Company logo (especially with the Goodsmile alien smiley face). At this point, I want to say that the Nanoha and Fate Nendoroids are official, even if they had amateur beginnings.

- Tsubasa -RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE- is getting yet another OVA adaptation like Tsubasa TOKYO REVELATIONS, this time titled “Tsubasa Shunraiki” (ツバサ 春雷記). It will cover the parts of the manga where the characters go to Fai’s country to confront King Ashura, the trip to Kurogane’s Japan, and finally the Dream World of Syaoran vs. Syaoran, It will be a 2-part OVA and the DVDs are to be bundled with limited first press editions of vol. 26 and 27 of the manga, to be released on March 17, 2009, and April 17, 2009, respectively. Both volumes will be 3,700 yen. The production team and cast for the OVA will remain the same as Tsubasa TOKYO REVELATIONS. In the same vein, ×××HOLiC is getting a two-part OVA adaptation, too, titled “×××HOLiC Shunmuki” (×××HOLiC 春夢記), to be bundled with vol. 14 and 15 of the manga, to be released on February 17, 2009, and May 15, 2009.
- I’m very glad to see more of the manga to be animated without the horrid job known as Bee Train. I won’t shell out 4 X 3,700 yen just for 25-minute videos, but I’m definitely looking forward to watching the episodes. I’m not sure what the ×××HOLiC OVA will be about, but hopefully a better adaptation of Kohane’s story.

A very accurate representation of how I’d look for the Masquerade Lite
I will be attending Summer in Salem, NH, as Fujioka Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club. The event will take place on August 30th, 2008. If you are going and want to meet up with me somewhere, leave me a comment! ^o^ I’d love to meet new people there.
The Ouran costume was a dream costume of mine for 2007, but I lacked the funds or skills to buy or make it. I even crossed it off my list earlier this year, until I came upon a Cospatio-made blazer going for cheap. I jumped it immediately.
I’m also thinking of cosplaying Suzumiya Haruhi in Lucky☆Star cheerleader uniform for the Masquerade Lite event and do some weird hybrid of the Haruhi and Lucky☆Star dances, but something tells me trying to work two things into one will turn out to be a massive disaster. (Someone, please stop me before it’s too late!)
New Olympics Edition Banner

I’m very excited about the upcoming 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China, since I was in that country when the announcement that it won the bid came. There was such a huge celebration on TV and in the streets.
To celebrate, I will attempt to doodle something related to the Olympics for the next few days and put it up on this site. I’m going to throw out the disclaimer now that I have nearly no clue as to how the events really work or what the proper equipment looks like, so the stuff I’ll draw probably will contain plenty of errors.

GSC announced its third Nendoroid Petit Haruhi series, this time featuring all five members of the SOS brigade in Day of Sagittarius and Extravaganza (Gekisou) outfits. A box of 12 (ten different types of figurines + one secret, might be Mikuru) costs 6,000 yen (~$56.62). I’m making the =D and D= faces simultaneously over them, because OMG I WANT ALL OF THEM and OMG 6000 YEN MEIN PAYCHECK.

I was massively disappointed by Goodsmile Company and Max Factory’s offerings for Wonder Festival 2008 [Summer] when they were first announced a few weeks ago. GSC/MF finally put out something worthy: figma Nagato Yuki (Evil Witch ver.) from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya! Now that’s the GSC/MF that I know and love.

I received the Xbox-huge package today in the mail. Thank Haruhi that I didn’t have to pay customs tax on it after I forgot to remind Yuya to not indicate the actual value of the loot on the declaration form. Then again, I was at work, so my tactless brother had to answer the door and he might’ve signed away my firstborn to USPS.

I made a prototype of the Haruhiism shirt today. My printer strangely printed a slightly more violet shade of red rather than orange-red, though.
If anyone would like a plain white tee with the above prints for $14 shipped, please send me an e-mail. I can also sell transfer paper with the text and logos on for $5 for both sides.

The gallery for Sega Prize’s Suzumiya Haruhi EX Figure Live Alive was originally posted on December 20th, 2007, on GA Graphic, before I got into figurines, so I missed it until now. All I can say is, wow, the Haruhi figurine looks absolutely amazing for its price. It looks so much better than similar figurines from lower-tier makers. I would’ve jumped on preordering Live Alive Haruhi already if not for the fact that the actual in-store product would not be as good as the prototype. I’m very disheartened by previous EX Figures I’ve seen from Sega Prize, and I really hope that Live Alive Haruhi would be better.
