Toehoe Cosplay for JoAnn Prom Contest

JoAnn sent me a $10 gift card for some ‘consolation’ prize and it made me remember that I entered a Touhou Remilia cosplay costume into its Prom 2009 contest months ago just for the heck of it. I figured that the judges would at least get a laugh out of seeing a bonnet in fashion before disqualifying the entry and throwing it in the recycle bin.
I went to check JoAnn’s page on the contest… o.O
…At least I got a $10 gift card out of the whole thing. I’m not cosplaying for the rest of this year though, so the gift card is going to my mom.

At least there was nothing for them to butcher in reference to your cosplay. Congrats on getting something out of it at least.

After browsing the entries, I think the judges also got a chuckle from the guys sporting hunting themed tuxedos with matching safety vests…number 313. The kimono inspired dress on number 311 looks nice too…It would’ve been nice if the judges picked winning designs that didn’t seem too traditional.
