In this update:
Spice and Wolf II Wise Wolf Holo Hand Puppet
Kuroshitsuji Grell’s Glasses Chains
Umineko no Naku Koro ni The Witch’s Tea Set
Umineko no Naku Koro ni Pin Brooch

- 3,990 yen
- 360mm X 180mm (14″ tall, 7″ wide)
- On sale August 6th, 2009

I saw this Spice and Wolf Holo puppet pop up for preorder a few months ago. Yes, you can move the tail. Yes, you can stick your hand up its dress and put on your own furry puppet show. Nevertheless, not sure if want. The face scares me. The fact that it comes with detachable/interchangeable eye pieces doesn’t help. The creepiness fades a little after staring at the product images for a while, but otherwise the only saving grace puppet Holo has is the potential that a Lawrence puppet may be released in the future.

- 1,680 yen
- 600mm (23.5″ long)
- On sale August 6th, 2009

Someone at Square Enix must’ve heard about the throngs upon throngs of crazy Kuroshitsuji Grell fangirls cosplayers, because a replica of Grell’s flamboyant glasses chains is available for preorder. Actually, given the popularity of the character, preorders at some places are already sold out. Strong want, but thankfully I won’t ever cosplay Grell, so I’m taking a pass on this item unless I find it for cheap.

- 1,260 yen
- One (1) teacup + eight (8) teabags
- Teacup size: 90mm X 70mm (3.5″ diameter, 2.75″ tall)
- 4 caramel teabags, 4 rose teabags, all delicious
- On sale August 6th, 2009

Umineko no Naku Koro ni is slow to have (official) merchandise out. Of course one of the first things up for preorder is a tea set. Though it only comes with one teacup. That’s a really lonely tea party.

- 840 yen
- 35mm X 40mm (1.4″ tall, 1.6″ wide)
- On sale August 6th, 2009

Put this on, you’ll be a member of the Ushiromiya family!

  1. is there any way to order this through you or does the site ship to US

    • None of the linked sites ship to the US. You should try using a proxy service (Himeya, PaletWeb, etc.) and compare rates. Ordering through me is possible, but I’d rather not take on anything for now since the US dollar is weakening against the Japanese yen daily.

  2. I find that puppet immensely creepy except for the last photo where it at least looks somewhat normal.

  3. I cannot find any proxy service that sells the items I want. I would really appreciate it if i could order them through you, but if you can’t, it’s fine.
