Kanon Misaka Shiori Cosplay

I brought out this old costume from 2007 and saw both how horribly inept I was at sewing when I first started out cosplaying and that the costume is actually in better condition than I thought it’d be in by now. Some minor trimming and ironing brought it back to life again.
It was also finally snowing after significant melting, so I joyously went out to take photos…and nearly got a frostbite. Cripes, it was -10C outdoors, and with the wind chill, it was actually -20C. Holy Marconis, I had to stop taking photos after only a few minutes in the cold, in that skimpy Kanon school uniform.
So, if Kanon is set in Hokkaido-esque area in Japan in the dead of winter, how do those girls actually survive in that uniform? Geez, Shiori is supposed to be sickly and terminally ill, and she only wears as much as I wore for the photos. I’m surprised that she didn’t die on the spot.
I still have photos taken from when I first donned this costume in 2007, and oh god, I looked so horrible in those, when I didn’t know how to pose or use the setting correctly. I’m not even going to share them here.
For those keeping track, Shiori is officially 157cm tall, 43kg, and has three sizes of 79cm/53cm/80cm.

Gah, I was actually thinking about marathonning a rewatch of Kanon yesterday since it snowed and I had the day off, but I woke up too late, and without breaks I would be done at 9pm… but I need breaks. Now I really want to rewatch it, lol.
