Nyoro~n Churuya-san Megas Limited Edition with Nendoroid Petit Churuya-san
- Upgrading the blurb in my last post, the limited edition of the Churuya-san manga will come with a Nendoroid Petit Churuya-san by Goodsmile Company. Also in the limited edition bundle are special full-color cover for the manga and an illustrated booklet from the artist behind Churuya-san. The manga will be released on September 10th, 2009, for 1,890 yen.
- I’ve liked the Churuya-san 4-komas since the first time I saw them, and Churuya-san is a character in its own right. I think I’ll probably pick up the manga, though it’s quite pricey even with a Nendoroid figurine…
- Animate has opened preorders for a plush doll of Kagabuu, a pig-like parody of Lucky☆Star’s Kagamin, from the spin-off 4-koma comic Buu Buu☆Kagabuu, originally created by the same artist who birthed forth Churuya-san. The plush measures about 180mm long, 180mm wide, and 150mm high. It is scheduled to be released in late June 2009 and retail for 2,000 yen.
- It looks absolutely ridiculous, but I might just get it to go with my Konata plush doll. Kagabuu looks like she’d make a great pillow.
Multi-Box Anything-Goes Haro (Orange ver.)
- I’m pretty sure this was announced a while back, but yet another Gundam 00 Haro toy is coming onto the market, this time in late March. This Haro toy is 25cm wide in diameter, which I think is 1:1 scale. It will cost 3,129 yen. The Haro isn’t as complex as previous ones I’ve seen; it will have movable ‘ear’ flaps and it is hollow on the inside for storage use. A red version (the one that floats around with Nena?) will also be available.
- I barely even follow Gundam 00 (I don’t intend on watching the second season until after the series finishes; then I’ll marathon it), but the cosplay collector in me has latched onto this 1:1 scale Haro. Granted, it is like $33 for a glorified spherical plastic box, but I’m tempted to use it as a ‘purse’ when I board planes.
