There is so much stuff that I’m having a hard time keeping them straight. I’ve already put away most of the items for storage and I’ll try to write up evaluations of individual things in the coming week or two. I’m too busy with schoolwork to do so now.
Quick impressions:
- The Vampire Knight costume fit me perfectly around the shoulders, but it’s a little too long. I’m not sure why. The jacket is very thick and it’s quite warm to wear the whole set. The skirt is definitely a foot too long or something like that. I’m not sure why, since the costume is supposed to be Size S, meant for people 151cm to 158cm tall (I am 155cm tall). I might have to bring out my sewing machine to correct it.
- The Ayu backpack was smaller than I thought it be. Between that and the Kodomo no Jikan mini-randoseru, I don’t know what to do with two tiny backpacks.
- The Ouran production setting books had me swooning in fangirl land for a while over delicious Kyoya; I have such a crush on him. I wonder why some anime series never release their production sketches as books. I’d definitely buy up the ones for Code Geass.
- The Clannad Visual Fanbook was heavy, huge, and simply gorgeous. Wow.
- I’ll be wearing the Hatsune Miku wallet chain on my pants for days to come. You know it.
- I immediately replaced Rolo’s locket on my cellphone with the Anya swing (cellphone charm). It’s quite bulky for a cellphone charm though, so I think it might get dinged up very quickly. Best to switch back to the Rolo locket soon. I also got the secret fortune from the Code Geass R2 Dokidoki Chara Fortune set, Rolo (Geass ver.), but it’s definitely too precious to use as a cellphone charm. Oh God, Rolo~
- I got my 1/1 scale replica of Code Geass Black King chess piece and Lancelot key with the Prop Plus Lelouch & Suzaku figurines. That was the only reason why I bought them.
- Cheap Zero mask is cheap. It’s so Asian. It didn’t quite fit over my dormmate’s face.
Awesome loot. Wish I had the money to spend on it. I only have the cash to buy the Jeremiah and other figures. Btw are you posting them on LJ today for sell? (Link Please!!)

out of curiousity, what’s the difference between the Ouran High School Host Club Original Production & Settings book and the Cosplay Edition?

The first book has production sketches for the regular outfits of nearly every single character and frequently visited places in the show. The second book focuses more on the different costumes that the characters went through, episode-by-episode.

The Zero mask is a really, really cheap one. It’s just a thin shell of plastic like a kid’s Halloween mask. I got it from Chara-Ani for about $8.

The cheapo plastic one is the only version that have been sold for now. A near 1:1 scale display mask will be sold as a raffle item later this year.
The Prop Plus Lelouch with Black King chess piece was 1,500 yen (~$14) secondhand. It retailed for about $17, but you’d be hard-pressed to find one at the retail price now since it was release well over a year ago. I think it’s currently selling for at least $35 on various hobby sites…

Sorry for posting really late, but what a great haul! I’ve actually got most of the other geass charas. Even my own special Rolo and kitty ones. Wish I was able to get the limited edition geass charas though, but I can’t cause I live in Canada T-T. Animate should try shipping to somewhere other than Japan!
Ahhh, so I’m jumping on the band wagon about a year and a half too late, but…I’m SOOOO jealous of your Vampire Knight costume! I went to the website, but they don’t sell it anymore! *cry* ;_; I’ve done searches on both Japanese and English sites, but it’s hard to find a reliable seller that didn’t just copy a picture from COSPA and claim it as their own. And speaking of COSPA, I can’t afford $300+ for just the jacket. x_x;;;
