Animate’s cosplay store, ACOS, opened a physical store in Ikebukuro District of Tokyo earlier this month. The store has three floors.
First floor: Costumes
Second floor: Wigs, props
Third floor: Photo studio
According people who visited the store, they loved the price for the quality of costumes there. ACOS sells full costumes for about 7,000 to 9,000 yen ($65~$85), which is about 1/4th to 1/6th of the cost of the exact same things from other high-quality stores, like Cospa. Even Akamatsu’s waifu went to visit the store (ACOS invited bloggers especially) and put on a Higurashi Rena costume.

What I’m most excited about the store is this announcement on the store bulletin board:

Looks like my educated guess was right. ACOS indeed is planning to release a Black Knights uniform (Kallen ver.) costume in the near future. I’m still bemoaning the fact that I am physically unfit to cosplay Zero or Suzaku, so I think I will preorder the Black Knights uniform as soon as it shows up for sale. Unfortunately, no word of plans for Ashford Academy uniforms.

My Vampire Knight Day Class uniform from ACOS will be arriving later today and I’m really pumped about it. The photos of it in the store look absolutely wonderful and pretty much as good as Cospa’s version. I can’t wait to put it on. There will be photos.
