Part-time Job

I hold a part-time job at a local Chinese restaurant, taking care of all take-out orders from 5:45pm through 8:15pm two or three days a week. The wage is minimal, but days when I get big tips always keep me upbeat for the rest of the evening. My co-workers are a great bunch of kids (yes, sadly, most of them are younger than me).
At times the restaurant gets odd customers, such one person who called in and asked if he could take some of the used cooking oil from an overflowing barrel in the back of the restaurant. Apparently he wanted to use it to fuel his car…I referred the phone immediately to the restaurant owner’s wife.
There’s also this one massive sinophile who works at the restaurant. I’m leaning toward calling him a ‘Chinkaboo’ for his obsession with the Chinese culture. The worst part is that he tries to talk to the Chinese workers in accented Chinese. Oh God, you don’t know how much that annoys me. Please, it’s not like we don’t understand English.

To El_gran_pachango - I didn’t mean to be offensive, I just meant you shouldn’t try and imitate people’s accents on purpose. Sorry

I have been ambushed a few times before by people who are sinophile. That is why when I met any Japanese people, I would never try to address them in any offensive tones (chan etc…).
The best way to deal with it is to feign ignorant or to teach them better way of speaking. A helpful hint goes a long way and a look of complete and utter confusion (delibrate i might add) goes a much much longer way!
