Cospa Goods: Shana “Cocytus” Pendant + Haruhi “Danchou” Armband

In this post, I’m only reviewing the first two since the Chobits ears are currently disassembled.
Starting with the Shana pendant, I’m slightly disappointed to see that the resin ’stone’ in the center is more of a dull gray when held up to a light. I was kind of hoping that it’d be more reddish, but it does look exactly as shown on the Cospa website. It’s slightly translucent and mobile within the binding, which adds faithfulness to the original. The chain is also a nice, long length (unlike bootlegs) and balances the pendant perfectly so that it doesn’t constantly flip from one side to the other. Like aforementioned, the pendant is currently sold out again on Cospa, after re-release for Shana II, but they are taking preorders for a May release this year. Cost: 2,940 yen ($27.26)

The Haruhi “Brigade Chief” armband is made of pleather. It’s quite hardy and far better than the usual homemade versions of plain fabric and interfacing. The faithfulness to the original design, however, isn’t quite right. The inside of the armband shows the white backing material of the pleather instead of being all salmon red like the outside. The original price of the armband is 1,575 yen ($15.43) and I got mine secondhand for $10.

You can try HobbyLink Japan; search for “Cocytus” since it’s not called “Alastor” in Japan. I’m not sure if it’s available in other import stores, but do search around and see.

The pendant looks really detail and good quality design. The only Cosplay item I have is the Nietono no Shana the sword she wields.
