Lyrics: Sakamoto Maaya
Composition: Suzuki Shoko
Arrangement: Saito Neko
Because we, who do nothing but searching, are very similar like a mirror
Though we connect just by facing each other, we still can’t touch each other
I strained my eyes
I reached out my hand
I’m sleeping like a fossil, I keep on waiting to be uncovered
Rain is falling
Time is up
Hey, I, I want to know
What is ‘to love’?
If you smiled, the world would tremble a little and shine
Just like breathing, it started moving
We, who can’t protect anyone, dashed out of the sleeping city
Turning into water
Turning into the wind
When we fight and struggle with each other for gain, it’s futile
And even if I shouted, the world would turn its back on me without saying anything
Just as if testing me, it shoved me away
A moment
An eternity
The beginning
The very end
Hey, I, I want to know
What is ‘being alive’?
If I asked, the world would tremble a little and shine
Now I’ll quietly release the truth that sleeps in me

This song is really sad. I liked it so much, but the OP is way better. I think that both of these are coming out on gendou tomorrow.

Oh thank you so much for this! It’s such a lovely melody, and Sakamoto Maaya sings it to perfection!
I like this better than the OP, Makino Yuui’s voice is really…forced, though the song is good.

>_< would you look at Maaya’s lyrics?! She definitely improved her skills! But the thing I love the most (besides the melody) is the arrangement…so epic, so desperately beautiful!
Nice translation, by the way, considering how quick that was.

This one was OK.
the OP is defintely way better.
I love the “Ne, boku wa boku wa” part in the lyrics! xP sounds nice in the song. lol.

I have to agree with those who found this song lovely. (And also, she wrote the lyrics to this so that’s saying something.)
I was moved by both the emotion apparent in the opening and closing but Maaya’s voice coupled with those beautiful lyrics made The Last Fruit the win for me.
