Dangos are soft and chewy. It tastes like sweet dough… Depending on the filling and outer covering, you may or may not like it. I personally prefer sesame dangos and I don’t like red bean dangos.

Small comments on your translation about the rabbit: They are referring to the widely popular Asian Folktale about the rabbit on the moon (wiki Jade Rabbit) who pounds the elixir of life, so in my opinion (aka, it isn’t important at all) the translation should be more ‘The Rabbit on the moon is waving in the sky’.

Clannad is the best one i ever seen until now.
No matter how many time i see it, it always make me almost cry.
That’s right that song is looks like wouldn’t touching after before i see the Clannad anime.
But…
after see it, i almost can’t sing that song again with good.
“The difference was really huge”…thats really really right.
I found this song to be cute and sad when I first heard it in Clannad. As episodes went on, I couldn’t feel the cuteness of the dango but always thought of Nagisa-san and I get really teary eyed. Took me 2 nights to watch Clannad and Clannad After Story. I’m glad I have been able to watch and witness this beautiful (but so sad) series. Thank you, Maeda-san for writing such emotional music and stories.

This song is so beautiful,it’s lovely,soft n pure. There’s less songs like that in the world. I heard it when I watched Clannad for the first time. My friend told me about it n so I watched…n it touched my heart…
My friend had the song on her MP3,n everyday I would beg her to let me take it home so I could listen to it before I fell asleep. I didn’t know the lyrics to the song right,but I didn’t care,I just sang it to my heart’s content! I even sang it around school! People who didn’t know Japanese (English school in America) looked at me with a face that said: what the heck is she singing?! XD
I thought it was such a happy jolly song,but I felt some sadness in it too,but I didnt understand why. As I kept on watching,I finally saw the deep sadness of it,which broke my heart. Until I finished Clannad (a huge waterfall of tears) I kept feeling the sadness more n more.
Now everytime I hear it or think about it,I sing it,n it makes me happy,but at the same time a deep sadness tights in my chest as I think of the girl who this song calls upon in my mind. N if I concentrate on it,stay still n just listen,my eyes start to fill with tears 😥
I think I understand why it makes such an impact on all of us after seeing the Anime. The song (theory) is made to do that. Meeting Nagisa,seeing her,hearing her,learning about her story n watching what she goes through makes even the coldest heart shed tears. Then the theme of the song,that represents Nagisa’s favorite thing in the world,is mixed with the happy,gentle feeling of the dango and the sad,nostalgic feeling of knowing who’s this song dedicated to. When you listen to it after watching Clannad,all those feelings n images of Nagisa collies n that’s why the tears fall n sadness come.
