this is not how the song goes the subbed version does the english translation different … it goes

nope, the lyrics is right because this is the lyrics for the full song, the lyrics you just said is from the ed version not from the full version,
the ed version dosent have the
“Sukoshi yumemigachi na tsukimi-dango
Osumashi goma-dango yotsugo kushi dango”
part so thats why its different

Thanks for the translation… but isn’t there six “dango”es in the coda/chorus/whatever line? Even if the official lyrics doesn’t say it, it definitely sounds like it.

Dangos are soft and chewy. It tastes like sweet dough… Depending on the filling and outer covering, you may or may not like it. I personally prefer sesame dangos and I don’t like red bean dangos.

Small comments on your translation about the rabbit: They are referring to the widely popular Asian Folktale about the rabbit on the moon (wiki Jade Rabbit) who pounds the elixir of life, so in my opinion (aka, it isn’t important at all) the translation should be more ‘The Rabbit on the moon is waving in the sky’.

I completely get you…so sweet and sad…the first time I ever watched it, with the ending animation, for some reason I felt like crying.
